About Us

AmericasFairHealthCare.org is a project of the Health Information Center (HIC), a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization, and the Health Information Campaign, a 501(c)4 organization, founded in 2010.

Our mission is to inform the public, the press, nonprofit organizations, industry groups, corporations and elected officials about the Affordable Care Act, which was signed into law by President Barack Obama earlier this year. We believe that educating consumers and engaging in the public dialogue to generate support for this law will help legislators, policy makers, regulators and health providers as they go about their important work.

Along with a coalition of partners, we work to explain to the public the benefits of the new law, how it affects consumers and when key regulations take effect. We also work to respond to misinformation and misperceptions about the law, educate leaders and stakeholders about the full extent of the benefits and provide a mechanism for policy makers and others to come together to share information and best practices that will help the implementation process.

Health Information Campaign staff:

Andrew Grossman, President

James Chiong, Executive Director

Erikka Knuti, Communications Director

Ankit Desai, Finance Director
